do you think that cooling will be a major problem with a air cooled motor? ive seen stock blasters that heat up

Darrell at HPD has told me that the kit will have the same cooling fan that the 400's have.

I don't know. He just said that there would be a cooling fan available. Either as part of the kit or as an option.

That would add weight to it an would need a battire for it then. So anyone with the older TB's would be left out. When I chated with the tec guy there he said they were running 110 ocgtane gas to get the 38hp at the crank.

Hey x_scrambler3,
How do you like that pink primary spring?
I've got HPD's pink spring in mine. Makes for
a pretty mean take-off!!

Anyway I don't think over heating was a real
big problem for the test bike. Darrell said
they had to run it for several hours before
it would even start to PING!

The pink spring works great for me gave me more starting engagement an a lower shift point. I had the brown spring in it before an was not happy with it it had to turn alot higher of an rpm to shift an was losing A bit to the other bikes. My spring is a stock one from polaris. well I run with only for short races. So as far as over heating It probly would bother me as much but I pressure the guy to try to get one from him as soon as posibale an explaned why I need it sooner so I will keep my fingers crossed.

Due to the fact that they have over a foot of SNOW still! The release date could be as early as JULY. Darrell still has alot of testing and wants to make sure of the durability.
I'm not happy with the fact that I have to wait until maybe July, but thats the way it goes!!!!!!

Talonhawk,

Like you I was very excited about this converison. I ride with a guy who has a 2000 warrior. In the woods he can't get away, I'm actually all over him, but the minute we hit a straightaway he's gone. I really like my TB but I'm tried of eating the dust. I think the TB is a great bike and this conversion is just answer for the lack of power. I look forward to the mods but fully agree that it should be tested "hard" to ensure durability. If you have to throw a grand at these mods I want it to last. beefy250
