Default What tools to carry

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I do my best to always ride with someone because you never know what could happen.

Nice set up there Hobbles!

I will make sure I have my chainsaw with me on my first trip into our camp.
So I need to make sure I have a 10m socket and side cutters. What size wrenches should I carry? Are there just a few that I need our should i carry a whole set?

I also like the idea of a folding saw I will get one of those soon to.

Matt

You look like your going to war with all the weapons hagging from your ATV! LOL

I take along the largest channel locks I can buy. I used the handle to pry on a tire once,it works as a hammer,it grabs bolts from the smallest to the biggest,it hold round shafts and it can turn my rear shock preloads from stiff to soft without much effort.

I do not know how many times people I ride with ask... "Can I used those channle locks you have?"

I read on a board that a guy carries a spare key in his shifter handle. I liked that idea..

Back to the real question though!!.......One thing I do carry is a nylon strap with the two closed loops (one on each end).........small one about only four feet long ...so when your winching out a quad you can use this instead of hooking directly ......you can wrap the strap around the tree or another Quad and attach your both loops to the hook on the winch............This prevents you from hooking the winch hook back to the winch cable!!........I know ......REALLY HOW MANY OF YOU DO THAT !!..SHAME ON YOU!!!

Plus it will save the Bark on the tree...(any tree-huggers out there)

I bet all of us did it one time or another!!!!.....LOL....This will save your cable in the long run!!!............Caper..........

this year a changed from a plain 20' tow rope to a 20' w/spring lock hooks so I can hook it to the rear hitch and fold it up on the rear beck under a couple bungies so it is ready when I need to pull out my buddies Honda...OK only kidding...NOT!
