Default What tools to carry

The Tool Kit that came with my 2007 Scrambler did not have a pair of pliars with them. I found this out when my 95 threw it's chain and I was going to take off the master link. I had to borrow a friends, turth be told, he did it for me. Good guy, eh?! Anyway, carry a pair of pliars and you may want a chain to pull branches out of your path if you do trail riding. I get in some tight areas sometimes and it's nice to have.

okay all these tools are a good reason for having them with you but WHAT IF
you just plain break down way out yonder deep in the trail that you can't fix,
some major engine breakage or what not.

How does one tow another 4-wheeler? I have winched out and pulled out
including myself with straps but is there a technique (besides the obvious, don't break
down, LOL) to really TOW these things IF were to happen?

I just used my tow strap with the spring loaded clips to pull the ATP when it chewed up its belt. Made sure to put it in neutral and instructed my son to not let himself ram into me. It's nice having a trail system where there is a ATV repair shop right off the trail. For anyone wondering: Crazy Ed's Motorsports is right off the Sugar River Rail Trail. If heading towards Claremont from Newport it is up on the right when you cross under a highway bridge. Treated me very well.

I remember going to a link someone had for bumpers that they also had a tow bar. I dont remember if it was for sale but he used it for towing in an atv and letting the guy hunt his way to it. Would be nice to have around prob. wouldnt carry it on every ride but would be good to have in the truck or trailer.
