my guess would be that its the back cv joint axle I have a 04 600 SP that I'm currently changing the back axle in because the CV joint went bad and started clicking. When it first started to go bad it only did it in reverse, but now its doing it in forward as well, it really makes a noise when I turn a tight circle to the left.People on here with more knowledge then myself will probably chime in soon.

Sportsmans use a u-joint drive train compard to cv-joint drive train found on other manufacturers. This is probobly the noise's you are hearing. If you are having troubles/ noises while turning it is probobly a bad u-joint. This is all due to slack in the drive train catching up w/ the speed of the motor while braking, going down hill and reverse it's considerd normal like it or not. Hope this helps!
