Default Fuel tank vent problem

My '08 Sportsman 500 is sucking fuel up the gas tank vent hose and
spitting it out on the front differential. The tank is only half full.
the only way i can stop this is by loosening the gas tank cover.
But as soon as I tighten it back up you can see the fuel going right up the vent tube.
I called the dealer, they said the tube might be kinked so I inspected the tube and it was not kinked at all.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Thanks

sucking fuel up the vent hose? the vent hose is dry just air from outside gets sucked int the tank when the tank drains and it creates a vacume in the tank fuel should never come out or ever be in there.

Sounds like the tank vent is extending into the tank somehow and is into the fuel rather than picking fumes up from the top of the tank.

w/out looking i dont know but is there a check valve inthe line maybe not working. there is massive pressure being built up some how to push the gas out. seems like it should make the bike run like crap or kill it completely.

I have noticed the same thing on 2 different 500's around here. And it's a steady happing. It's the same with mine. Loosen the cap and it stops, Put the cap back on and it starts again.
