Default WARN/gorilla

Ok so I thought I'd try a cheap gorilla winch, I got he best 3,000 pounder they had
1st they free wheel ****/gears went to pot they sent me a new one in 2 days thought it was ok but now I got everything together right I tried to pull about a 100lb limb
it moved about 2 feet an it began to grind and it slipped

So i'm going to try to get my money back and buy a warn which I should have done to start with

first off would a 2,500 warn be plenty for an 07 700
and next does the polaris plastic "grille" fit on with the 2500 xt and the 73680 mounting plate

any thoughts or suggestions would be apprieciated
Thanks

sorry its a little long

the warn and gorilla mount on the same bracket i do beleave. as far as the plastic grill not sure which one you mean there as the XT is a center roll drum vs a more side mount like on my 3.0. i think they will still fit though. maybe someone that has one can tell you more. yea a 2500 might be enough but i went w/ a 3.0 and bought a snach block to double its pulling as ive needed more then a 2500 lb. personally i would pay the more and get the 3,000 lb. imo.

The front grill plate with the cut out will not fit the new xt/rt winches. As stendori stated...they are a center drum. You will need to cut out a little more on the left of the plastic cover.

Yes, I put one on my 08 PoPo 800 .Well made, priced right, fast ship!! I compared to a Warn Mount and could not tell any difference!(had a warn mount on a 04 PoPo 700)

****I also put a 3000 lb VIPER winch on a POPO from Moto-Alliance. Great winch and the company stands behind them. I had one Viper that was self-induced damage (slack on drum, cable outside of drum then winched in!ALWAYS CHECK WINCH CABLE B4 WINCHING IN UNDER LOAD AND JUST WINCHING CABLE IN.)Moto fixed and shipped back fast. The CEO called me & e-mailed me to make sure I was happy! Never heard of that B4!!!!!!!!!!!!
