Why no 800 X2?
Why doesn't Polaris make an 800(760) X2? That seems ridiculous. The more i looked at the X2 the more I considered it to be something I could really use but when I went to research it assuming they made it in 800 I see they only sell it as a 500 or a 700. What's up with that?
Not only that but I see that it is only offered in green and red. No camo, no blue, no black.
Polaris did the same thing when they began offering ADC. It only came in certain colors and on certain machines. What kind of business sense does that make? What rationale do they use to decide that limiting color choices is a good idea? I mean they make all those colors for the love of pete why not offer them? Likewise why use a 700 as your top model when you have 800(760) in every other model except this one? After all, with this type of ATV you're carrying more weight and could use the extra power.
I've never understood the way Polaris chooses to market their ATVs. Is everyone in that department sitting around and hitting the pipe?
And while I'm bitching about Polaris, what is up with their website? You have to jump through registration hoops to use the build and quote feature? That has to be the most boneheaded move I've ever seen. Even Ford, GM and Dodge don't do ridiculous crap like that. What are they trying to annoy and **** off potential customers?
Sweet merciful crap.

Why no 800 X2?
I noticed the same thing. Why did they go to the 700cc after having an 800 class the year before? My guess is to try to keep the price down so more potential customers will look at it. If they had had the 800 back in 06 when I bought my 500 X2 I might have bought it. On the other hand, a 700cc only $200 more than the 500. I would have definetly got the 700. I'm still waiting for a lock and ride storage box that would work with the X2 rear dump box for the trips I don't have a passenger.

Why no 800 X2?
I was to pick up my new 700x2 today but one of the Alm rims had a weep hole and they had to order another one, should be here for the weekend. I to would have liked another color but I went with the red, the baby s^&$ green was not for me. I was also thinking of the 800 with the big back seat just because of the color I would be able to pick from but once in the woods they all look like a big blob of mud.
Also if your riding alone you will have that seat just sticking up in the air to get damaged by a branch or something. You can remove the seet but it also holds down the drivers seat and you then have a big hole that it this point there is no ACC to put in its place but the dealer says it is in the works.
Just an FYI I have road both the 700 and the 800 units and I see very little diferance in all around trail riding power, and the 800 loves the Go Go juce more so then the 700.
Hope to post some pic's when I get the unit.

Why no 800 X2?
I bet the 700 is on the way out so they picked one model to finish off production and that was the X2. Seeing as it's only a couple hundred more than the 500 they should blow out pretty quick. I don't think they offered it in the Touring because this was a new quad that they could get the big money with the 800"s .

Why no 800 X2?
With you on that......Nice setup you have....its nice to get out with the Family. Just me and the little lady and we get out as much as we can. We had a sportsman 500 Ducks that was just a test to see if we would like riding and now we were taking it on every vacation. She has no want to drive so I needed something less hard on the man equipment when riding if you know what in saying. So we decided we need a 2 man unit.

Why no 800 X2?
I experienced the same problem. I wanted the x2/ wanted it in the 800/ and wanted the black/silver. I did find a dealer that had that 2008 x2 800 limited edition stealth black but they wanted $8900 for it. This drove me to find a leftover 2007 with everything I wanted (except the alulm wheels which i had the dealer add) for $1700 less than the 2008. This was just a week ago we found a dealer that still had the 07.
