Hi, I had my machine out the other day and noticed an oily substance on my plastic (looked like it ran down from above) then looked at the brake master cylinder on the handle bar, there was brake fluid all around it and under it, dripping down. It is leaking out of the top cover I assume. What is the fix? just new cover? why would it just start leaking now? The cover is kind of warped on the corners of it.

Is it screwed on tight? Is it too tight, causing that warping?

 

no, it seemed tightened about right, when I put the cover back on I tightened it even more though. A new cover is $35, what a joke..lol

 

If nothing is cracked or broken I don't know what to do.

 

Yeah, I dont see anything that is cracked or broken. I dont dare put gasket maker in there just because that brake fluid would eat it up.
Anyone elses machine ever leak this fluid?

Replace the cover assy and don't overtighten it.

 

I never messed with the cover before it started leaking out. $35 seems a litte high for a small piece of plastic. Thanks for the info I might just have to buy the new cover if it keeps leaking out...
