Ok took it to the dealer. they replaced the spark plug to no avail... It was pretty fouled anyway. They are looking at it now.

Weird.

So the dealer tells me they can't get a spark now. At what point do I simply demand a new quad and start shouting about lemon laws? Is this reasonable in anyone's opinion? This thing is three weeks old and never been off the dirt road.

Polaris atvs get mad when they don't get enough mud! I would keep bugging them a little while longer. I feel that sometimes factory workers can make mistakes and maybe its not to bad. I hate it when my atv is sick too.

Give them a week to see if they can figure it out what's wrong with the lemon, or melon, or whatever it is. If they can't fix it they owe you a new one.

I've seen lots of brand new bad parts so it's probably just a bad coil or something. I'd give em a shot at this and start talking about a new quad if it messes up again.

Actually I just got a call and they found something wrong with the starter. Fixed and under warranty...

Bad coil or stator right off the production line can happen. Not worth replacing the whole ATV over. Do the new H.Os have that ECM issue?

Starter? I thought they told you it wasn't firing? How could they check the firing if the engine won't even turn over?

Apparently it wasn't firing repeatedly - it was intermittent.

Just tell them you want your money back and go buy an Arctic Cat
