Polaris 500 oil weight? What is it?
#1
I have always used Amsoil 0w-40. I was at the deales and though I would try the Polaris kit for once.
The bottle just states "Synthetic PS-4 Plus" it does not say what weight it is,does anyone know?
Thanks .

Heck if I know, this is the first time I,m not using Amsoil 0w-40 on our 500 Sportsman,s. Never even seen a Polaris oil change kit before. 2 quarts of oil and a filter and they call it a kit.lol they also mentioned in there instructions if I drain the crank case oil as well that the kit does not have enough oil and requires more oil?

The kit is, or at least was, cheaper than buying the oil and filter seperately. They used to put 3 quarts of oil in the kit and I would always have one left over. After two oil changes I only need to buy a filter.

I heard the kits used to have 3 quarts and replacement washers at one time. The Auto stores Amsoil 0w-40 was $9 each and a fram CPH6607 filter was $5 while the kit was only $25 which surprised me since the Polaris oil is a FULL synthetic oil also.
