Default Stuck in mud

My buddy and I were out yesterday, he has a Can-Am Outlander 650 2-up. We tried to cross this simple looking area and got buried in what he called "Loon sh*t". This stuff was black and had the consistency of pudding and clay. It wouldn't clear the tread blocks of our tires, made them look like slicks.

It took us about an hour all together to get each other unstuck. But it was fun. The pics came from my camera phone so they aren't the greatest quality. Hope you guys enjoy them anyway.

EDITED:

Fixed the pics hopefully. Okay, it would let me link them but wouldn't let me embed them. Oh well.

That's the worst stuff. Thick enough to stick to everything, but not thick enough to support your weight. I almost went over the handlebars once when I hit some fresh clay mud where they were making a new trail on my old Xplorer. It looked wet so I went in at about 7 mph or so. My tires sunk and stopped, all in about 2 feet. I jerked it out with the Lakota after about 20 pulls.

Wow. That mud and the area in general looks exactly like an area in Maine that I ride in frequently. I call that stuff "double gravity mud". It makes my 700EFI feel like it weighs 1,600 pounds, and my Warn RT30 would agree. Sticky stuff.
