Aside from people who own one why would you want to spend the money on the reed valve conversion?

I thinks this would make it much more powerful but why do the 250 instead of a 400?

Other than a "sleeper" quad. Where would you race it? The only event I can see possibly being competetive with other 250`s is straight line drags.

Don`t get me wrong it sounds good and might consider it in a few years as a project. I just wanted opinion`s of people who would do the Trailblazer over a 400 Sport.
Thanks Guys

Because the 400 motors are already reed cage motors.

I would consider the mod on my TBlazer due to the fact that I would love the power on the trails.
I don't have another $5000 for a Scrambler, so I could spend the money on this and have almost the same power.

Because I already have all the major investment I want in my TB and can't afford to go buy a 400 or 500. Plus, I like the idea of seeing just how much I can squeeze out of it HP wise.

Another thing is it's lighter than a scram. Isn't that often one of the big complaints - weight?

The whole "sleeper" idea is fun as well - nobody expects anything out of a TB, so it'd be fun to blow by them when they least expect it. I plan on doing a few MX races on mine this year. I don't plan to win any trophy, but I'll have a lot of fun.

$3,100.00 for a stock TB
$4,900.00 for a stock Scrambler.
About a grand or even $1,500.00 for the
reed conversion kit. Thats $4,600.00 for
a quad that weighs less will have 36 hp
and has almost the same suspension. I'm not
gunning for 400's or anybody else. I just want
what alot of other people want for their quads
(regardless of engine cc) and thats more power.

This wasn`t meant to be a negative post.

Just wanted to know others positive reasons for investing that kind of money into an air cooled 250 thats all.

Personally I like the "sleeper" aspect of it myself.

You are quite right. I was thinking 500 4X4. I guess there are more in the scrambler family huh

Who pays retail, I got my scrambler for $4600.

It took about 3 hours of negotiation and 15 cigarettes.LOL.
