Default Clutch cover Sportsman 500 swap

Hello,

I have a 1997 sportsman 500 and the clutch cover is cracked, does anyone know what models this would swap out with? I see several on ebay but none with my OEM part number.

Thanks!

Most all 4 stroke covers will work if you get the inner ond outer covers. But you can use the outer off of the 425 Magnums and 500s

Default Clutch cover Sportsman 500 swap

On my 97 sportsman I used a clutch cover off a newer 500. They changed the material in the newer covers. All the bolts lined up the same in the new cover on my old backing plate but there was a couple extra holes in the new cover, so if you wanted to change the backing plate to it should work. I didnt, I just put the newer one on the same as my old one. I did have to get the newer snorkel for the newer cover though, and cut it off a bit, seemed to fit fine after i did that. The hole in the new cover is bigger so my old snorkel wouldn't work. I bought the newer cover and snorkel used for 50 bucks in great shape, alot cheaper than getting a new one from Polaris.
