Default lose axel

i have a 06 scrambler that i'm haveing problems with, the rear axle is lose i can slide it back and forth, i have no ideal on how to fix it and dont have the money for someone to look at it. is this something i can fix myself or do i have to take it to a shop ?? please help!!!!!

hopefully one of the boys who knows scrambles will chime in here for ya. what is moving, sproket, whole axle and tires moving back in forth in the carrier? did you make sure the carrier bolts are tight. did you jack it up to make sure both wheels are stilll turning together? just a few idears.

ya all the bolts are tight . i jacked it up to see whats wrong so i started to move stuff around and the axel shaft is moveing side to side in the houseing.
