After thinking about how much one helped my Scrambler I wanto to get one for my 800. I had an K&N before and liked it but is there any others available?

 

There are others but K&N seems to be the most popular. That, and stock, is all my friends ever use. Since you like them maybe you should just stick with them.

I would say K&N and Uni filters are the most popular. Foam works best in the dirt while K&N works best in the sand. They both perform equally. Maybe someone else knows more????

 

No Toil is a great foam filter and their oil is the most tacky I've seen yet. No Toil is the only filter I'll use anymore. K&N? Wipe out the carb boot after a dusty ride with a white towel. Let us know if you see anything on the towel. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] Any filter you can hold up to the light and see small pinholes everywhere is not a good thing, IMO.

 

I saw the No Toil oil, filter, cleaner and everything in a catalog and thought it sounded good but I've never run anything but stock. I know I'll never buy a K&N after seeing how much time my friend spends cleaning his over and over. Maybe someday I will try No Toil with the super sticky oil.
