Default New 2008 Sportsman 800 Today = Problems Already !!!

I just picked it up today and have not taken it anywhere but home.

On level pavement in both directions the quad pulls to the right.

Air pressure is correct all the way around.

I checked the alignment as I have for all the quads I have owned. The alignment is correct.

All the steering components look ok.

What else should I check?

A broken or weak, bent piece of suspension, strut component might be the cause. Are there different strut adjustments on your model? Perhaps they do not match in their settings? What does the dealer suggest? Are the tires the same size? I know, stupid thought, but you definately have a steering problem that should be obvious, especially after checking the toe out alignment you mentioned was o.k. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

i agree jack it up and check to see free spinning wheels or take it back to the dealer for sure before you do any kind of anything including adjustment. mine was out a little when i got it home as well. also(just remember) mine pulled real hard because i found on the rear that one of the stablizer bolts were backed right out. just check on that as well.

Still checking things out.

No front brakes dragging.

I put the quad on the stand, in neutral, not running, and spun the rear wheels by hand. The fronts turn at the same time.

Is this normal? Does yours do the same thing?

I had the same problem on an '06. Right rear tire was shorter than the left. Add 2 pounds of air the the RR and see if it makes any difference.
This is not an isolated incident. Dealer told me they had others with same problem.
