remote winch switch
#1
I was wondering if anybody has a remote winch switch for their winch. Has any body tried any other type of switch? It seems that the switch that you get with these winches is so big and hard to mount in a descent spot. Is there any aftermarket toggle switches that could be used? I realize that there is a lot of current that flows through the switch but there must be someting better. This is for a BOZO I work with.

I have the warn #2500 multi mount winch with the remote on a bracket on the handle bar, works much better than the warn #2000 with the switch attached to the headlight pod that I had on my old 1999 SP 500.

Tell your associate, slewpumper, "Sorry, no free lunch!"
To handle the high-amperage load of a winch, you must have either a large, clumsy, manual switch; or, some large, clumsy solenoid relays, controlled by a little ol' low-amperage single-pole-double-throw (SPDT) switch on a three-conductor cable.
OR, get a radio-controlled remote setup (just kidding; the last is WAY too expensive for ATVing).
