In most cases an Orange /blue Dalton spring will do about as much as anything on an 800 .

Maybe Stendori will chime in .

ok chimming in lol. rick sold me a dalton or/blue spring and w/ my 27" xtr's that is all i need. maybe on the 28" 589's since they are a heavier tire might need the whole kit that dalton offers(check their site) for the 28" tires. i'm w/ savage in saving im not impressed w/ heelclicker either.

I have dalton clutches on both my sportsmans. The 800 has 26" mudlites and I put the orange/blue dalton spring in and really don't notice much but didn't expect to as they at dalton explained. On the 700 I installed the kit as it has 27" mudlites. It made a HUGE difference. I would definitely go with a full kit with 28's. You won't be disappointed!

I put the epi kit on mine designed for 27" tires and stock motor and exhaust. I like it quite a bit. It pulls 27" 589s pretty good. Definately made a difference in raising the front end a bit easier out on the trail. I got a great deal on ebay when I bought it. Don't know that I would have paid full price for it but I like it for the rock crawling and hill climbing we do in WV.

Not sure about there "kits" but I do know that a lot of snowmobile kits use EPI springs because of their superior quality compared to most other springs on the market.

I don't want to say anything bad about EPI because I know the owners, but I have have had several of there snowmobile kits and the primary springs never lasted more than a season without breaking. (Different sleds and different kits.) Just my .02
