ive been riding a kawasaki bayou 220 and im looking at buying a predator 500.
is a 05 worth the extra money over an 04 ?

 

one other thing is the tld way better than the stock model

 

I had an 05 preddy and now have an 07 TLD......the 05 has reverse which is a big deal. You may not think so until you have one without and realize how often you use it and what a pain in the a#@ it is to hop off and pick up your quad every time you want to turn around. Also, I think they made some improvements to the tranny over the 04, improving the shifting. As for the TLD, besides the color/graphics, it has better shocks, piggy backs, not sure what else if anything.

 

I have an 04 and from what I have read on the net the difference between the stock model and troy lee is shocks, decals, and in 04 the tranny was geared closer. I agree that in 05 they put revers in which is nice. I really think the predator is a great all around bike.

 

Welcome to the forum J and Paul. I knew about the shocks but not the tranny. I read a lot of posts on quads like that I don't have, just so can learn stuff. It's amazing how much info you can find here.
