Not a bad idea and thanks for the advise everyone. I'm sure I will get it figured out and not have to worry about it crapping out from another water issue. Nothing like having your ATV running like hell and trying to pull a steep boulder field.

Just another possibility, I could be way off but it has the sound of an electrical problem to me, maybe when the water splashes up under the front cab you are getting the ECU connection wet or the CDI, not sure but I would be pulling these connections and giving them a dose of dielectric grease just to make sure...Even if this isn't the exact cause of the problem, it is a good idea anyway. I have pulled most of my electrical connections and greased them...trailer wiring to!

Maybe jokout, but if it was electrical do you think it would cure itself that quickly each time?

jokout: Not a bad idea. I will do that just as a "what if" measure. As far as an air filter, do you guys like stock or K&N? I still have a stock filter in there along with the pre-filter cover, but have been debating trying a K&N.

I prefer stock. KN lets more air in but also lets more dust in by the very nature of increased air flow. Good insurance with stk AF is the prefilter.

I would say try a garden hose just heat the unit up and start at the bottom and work side to side going up till it starts to sputter ?????

Make sure you put di=electric grease on all your electrical connections and in the spark plug boot.
