I would like to thank all that responded to my post. I feel like a little kid that has been given a challange and can't wait to let you all know how I made out.
As suggetsed by "GunnSmoke" I will start another thread once I get going, titled rebuiding a trail boss 250.
Once I figure out how to attach a picture I will do that as well so all can see the before and the after(hopefully)
Thanks again

Might wanna replace the crank seals while your into it.... I hear alot of people say that there's have gone bad.
I have a 98 xplorer 300 that i totally rebuilt from the crank up... pretty simple process if your at all mechanically inclined.
familiarize yourself with the "search" function on this site... you'll find answers to any question you may have
And I would recommend Rick Ritter for any machine work you need...He hooked me up with a bore & a sweet wiseco piston.
Good Luck!!
