JF, I looked at those pics. can't really tell.
Don't you have any pics of what your quad used to look like?
If nothing else you could drool, Sorry not trying to rub a sore spot there. That really bites bro. while we get a reference for a bigger rack extender on a popo.

I have a couple of pics of the 500s with it but don't have a scanner so I can't upload them. The rear rack entension is one place where size really does matter. Some of the old Polaris ones were only 3 or 3.5 inches. It looks about the same as this picture on ebay, except the ends of the top tube go into holes at the front of the rack, and two pieces welded on the back go into holes too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW#ebayphotohosting
The old style racks had a lip near the back to keep things from sliding off. The aftermarket extension goes behind the lip instead of in front of it, to give you an extra inch or two of rack space. Plus it left two holes in the rack un-used so you can still put a flag in the odd-sized one that's made for it.
My cooler won't fit in a cargo box, but there's room on the rack for it and a 5-gallon gas can with plenty of room left over. It doesn't tip over unless the hooks straighten out and the bungees fly off. When that happens I know I'm hitting the whoops too hard.
