'96 Trailblazer 250 "jerks" when accelerating hard
#1
A friend of mine has a problem with his Trailblazer. When he accelerates hard, the bike "jerks" as if the chain were jumping teeth, or the belt was slipping and grabbing. He has just replaced the chain, front sprocket, and the belt. The rear sprocket was replaced earlier, and looks good. I believe that the problem is in the belt drive, but I don't know what it could be. When you accelerate normally, it runs fine. Only does it when you gun it. Any ideas?

First when he accelerats watch the chain to see if it is skiping i KNOW AS FAR AS THE 96 GOSE HE SHOULD GET A CHAIN TENSENER from HPD Dose it make a sound of a chain jumping or noise from it?
I have a 95 an I had a bad chain in the trans that need to be replaced if it sounds like a chain skiping but the drive chain is not doing it then maybe it is the chain in the trans

I tolk mine apart an there is not ant parts that come flying out. There is a double roller type chain. The reverse is gear to gear an foward is chain drive so it is a pretty simple design. Mine whan it started only did it under full throughtel an got worse with time. To see id it is maybe the chain in the trans put it in reverse an give it full throughel an see it it still dose it an if it dose not then good chace it is the chain in side. hope this helps
