Here is my short story. I bought a Supertrapp for my Magnum 500 in Oct. of '99 from Highlifter. I had to wait for it, because they did not have very many built at the time, as it was new for the '99 Magnum's. About 2 weeks after I put it on, the headpipe cracked about 2 inches from the head. Supertrapp replaced it, after I sent the cracked one in to them, only cost me some shipping. That one lasted maybe 3 weeks before it did the same thing. That one was also replaced with another one that died early in it's life. At this point, I am getting pretty mad, and Supertrapp is telling me that my new machine has worn out motor mounts. Nevertheless, they send me 2 more headpipes at the same time, one of which lasted 3 days! The last one I recieved is still on, but has begun to crack. It has only lasted because I did not ride much last summer (jet-ski time!). I was told in Oct. '00 that the problem had been looked at, and a new pipe was being tested. As of today, I still have a cracked pipe, and SUPERTRAPP WILL NOT ANSWER MY EMAILS, OR RETURN MY PHONE CALLS! I keep getting the run-around when I call them. Has anyone else had similiar problems with Supertrapp or their products? I would be happy with my $300 back, as the performace gain was very slim. Also, does anyone know of a person to contact a Supertrapp's corporate office?
