Default Gearing Suggestions

Hi i own an 04 polaris predator and i would like to add a new set of hipers with 18 inch tires to get me a little closer to the ground, i will also be doing a-arms and axle (which i cannot find over +2). but my primary question is if i should change the sprocket ratio (stock is 14 front. 37 rear) because someone told me that this was needed. also, if anyone has an idea where i can get a +4 axle or any other ideas like extanded hubs

A friend of mine added 4" to his swingarm some time ago and had to fab it since there were none available. Of course, then there was very little out there for a preddy (aftermarket). I had to fab a lot of things that I can just buy now once mfr realized polaris was serious about making sport atv's! You may not find one advertised, but dig deeper, especially companies that specialize in extended swingarms.

If you change to a smaller tire without changing the sprockets you will lose your top speed. About 15% slower with 18".
