Not no but HELL NO!!!! My sportsman weighs 800 lbs. There is no way in hell a 12 year-old should ride one without an adult.</end quote></div>
I agree. If you roll it, its hard enough for a grown man to roll it back over. Or to crawl out from under it.

Hey Shank I'd look into may a smaller framed bike like the Trailblazer or Sportsman 300 to start out with. It would be a great bike to learn on and be an awesome bike for the family to share too, and cheaper than the 500. If nothing else start saving your money now so that you can buy one or at least put money towards it, it might be easier talking your parent into getting you one if you can contribute!!

LOL being a parent myself, i could see my child signing on here to get a bunch of atv'ers to say that i could handle a 500 when they already said it might be too much machine. So to side with parents on this one would have to go with NO a 12yr old shouldnt be on a 500. like stated previously that is an 800lb machine with enough power and speed to get adult riders into trouble now you put a 12yr old on it with a bunch of friends around and they try and show off their new toy! UMMMMMMMMMmm yeah DEF NO
