Every piston inspite of close tolerances of manufacturing will/can vary!!!! I do not bore untill I have piston in hand to measure bottom of piston skirt ! Any body that does can be off (too small, fine can hone to finish, too BIG cant shrink bore!!

I understand completely .
Just curious about where you end up is all . Just wanting to get an idea . Lets say the last one you did --- what was your finish diameter ?

Wiseco has made differences in some of the specs from batch to batch they seem to change tapers and OD's on purpuse on ocassion . I haven't checked the new batch just released ago - not sure of changes . I haven't check the date code on the new ones either .

Always intesting to learn new stuff and different techniques . Thank you !

Sorry to be late gettin back to ya! I cant, dont, wont, remember final specs! I just measure piston skirt, measure cylinder size,(Iorder piston according to what was in machine /and conditon of cylinder ( If no old piston size known I just measure bore against stock specs, determine what I NEED to clean up bore( 0.25.0.40,etc) I make my first cut about .005 past cylinder bore to start and finish at piston size. Then hone to finish (.001-.0015) clearance. What I end up with I dont remember or write down except on piston box (for customers info) Tired of typing hope this helps!

Half of a human hair diameter, .002-.003", for clearance. That's close.
