These Quads need a batt to run, the dealer said the stator system is not enough alone. Which seems like a Achilies Heel to me.

Yes, I like to keep things clean,and I will report back.

 

If you run it without a battery it will blow all the lights.

Maybe with the newer ECM type but i thought the new 400/300 did not have the ECM thing. I rode my SP500 for a month with a dead battery,by just using the pull start only without a problem.

 

i had a buddy with a 03 sportsman 500 and he only had to have the battery in it. it never charged he just used the pull atert

 

Good, ride today,the 300 road allday on a single charged batt. Perfect weather about 65F and a slite drizzel off&on.

last couple of pics are of my buddy, that seems to be stuck on a Log.
