For the 2006 SP500 HO, Rear Hub Nut Torque: 80 ft. lbs.
Lug nuts are 27 ft. lbs. for steel rims, and 90 ft. lbs. for aluminum wheels.</end quote></div>
That's what the manual for my EFI says too, but older 500s with a one-piece nut, like a whiz nut without grooves, http://www.ezscaffold.com/pics...hiz%20flange%20nut.jpg for steel wheels, instead of a two-piece flange nut, were torqued lower. Only 15 or 20 ft.-lbs depending on what year it was. There were 4 different specs that I know of for the lug nut torque. When people don't say what YEAR they're talking about you can only guess.

I was 99% sure it was only 15. Mine was stolen 7 years ago so I haven't seen the manual lately, and I have partial amnesia from an accident that I think happened later. I think the chain drive quads back then were 55 on the rear but the front was only 15, and the shaft drives like yours were 15 front and rear. I checked to see if I still had the manual but it was in the quad when it was stolen.
