Default 2008 700 X2

Got it last week. Been doing a lot of searches (worklight kit, PVT, break-in..) on here and manual reading. Great to have this site w/ all the available info. Just wanted to give a little post saying hi. Hope this is the start of a great adventure. Pretty much a newbie to AVTing but me and the wife are excited about the future possibilities. I had to wait on the kids 50 CC's. Wife thought that was a bit much ($4,000) seeing thier gonna outgrow them in a few years. At least the 8 year old. I can undersatnd her apprehension to spending close to 15K all at once. Since I'm not that mechanically inclined I got 4 years warranty and other necessities. I don't know what the reslae of these 50 CC's but I'm gonna need some amunition to make an arguement for spending that much or anothother plan to present. A little time should do the trick too.

Welcome to ATV Connection and congrats on the new ATV. I thing you bought about the best there is to offer; twin cylinder, lots of power, large fuel tank, great range, two seat if you want it, backrest and cargo space/ dump bed when you're riding single. If I had put more thought into it when I got my 800 single, I might have gone for the 700 X2.

Hey Tankhead, welcome to the forum. Alot of helpful folks here. I wish they had the 700X2 when I bought mine. For a couple hundred bucks more it would have been worth it. I'm considering one when I'm done with the one I have now. No major complaints at all. Let us know how the gas mileage is on the 700. I've never got an answer and am curious. With the 500 I get about 20-22 when it is open cruising around 25 or so. I get 18-20 or so when it's a mix.

Every time I look at the box on an X2 I think about buying one and putting a BIG cooler back there.

Welcome from a fellow X2 owner. I love the box and use it regularly. It's a great place to put your gear for an overnighter as well. Hope you enjoy it as much I do mine.
