Hello all. Bought a used 96 trailblazer250 for my wife as a starter machine. I know very little about these machines. From what i've read the hard starting when hot problems are pretty typical. I am pretty mechanically inclined so i was wondering does anyone else (chilton hayes) make a service manuel other than polaris? Also what plugs have you guys had the best luck with in these machines? Thanks for any help. Shawn

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Thanks for all the input. I appreciate it. I'm gonna check the compession tommarow night. I believe anything under 100 is no good from what i've read. I'll let you know what i find.

Did a compression test and ended up with 85lbs. Threw a fresh plug in it and it fired right up. This thing is very tempermental. It seemed to run great in the cooler weather but since its gotten warmer not so much. I'm gonna drain the oil and replace it just in case it got some water or moisture in it. Looks like its getting rings before to long.
