hey i'm looking into putting a winch on my 500 scrambler, would a normal winch bought from canadain work in it, or would they be different currents? also have any of you hooked up a winch on a scrambler? is it a hard job? thanks in advance for your help

 

I put a winch on a 2002 scrambler. Installed a Gorilla winch using a kfiproducts.com winch mount plate. I mounted the contactor on the frame tubing behind the battery. Worked out ok. With the kfiproducts mount the winch is exposed outside the front frame, but I can reach the hook just by leaning over the handlebars.

 

there is no differnt hook ups being from canada. it should be mounted and wired the same.
