Default Sofar so good.

With 33 hours and 179 miles on the new polaris 800 everything seems fine.
The wifes Polaris 300 is going in for the batt not charging on the 14th of july, and having it die once from vapor lock or heat,(We have not figured this out) it has not left us stranded yet.

without any lights on we can get 3 full rides out of one batt.I carrie an extra just incase.

The last 2 rides I switched to Non ethanol based fuel 93 octain. it seems to have increased my milage on the 800. Last ride we went 34 miles (6 hours) and I used3.5 gal. Mixed trail, dirt road, little snow mud and water. The first ride with the Non ethanol fuel was 15 miles (6 hours), Hard trail Lots of deep snow. I used 2.8 gal.

I am not sure if the fuel makes that big of difference or the bike is just getting broke in.

The wifes on the Non ethanol based fuel has not sputtered or died or even seem to get as hot as it usually does, the hard trail we went on we rode the litttle 300 hard and it never missed a beat. Unlike the 2 weeks before in the hard snow.

Not sure what to make of any of it, but as long as they keep brining us home I will be happy.

I don't know anything about the ethanol fuel. Seems like you're getting quite a bit of use on a tank of gas though.

Ethanol fuel will produce a decrease of almost 10% gas mileage according to some estimates I have read. In my own experience I lost a couple miles per gallon when the switched to 10% ethanol here in the Northeast. The idea behind ethanol is to lower our usage of actual crude. I liked the old gas better.
