How many miles are you guys getting to a tank? I got about 55 miles on my last tank. Does that seem ok?

From what i can speculate there is approx 3/4 gallon left when the light starts to flash.

Millage will vary,depending on terrain.

i dont know how you figured that. the 800's tank holds 4.13 gal. of gas. when the last time mine flashed and after about 5 or so miles i filled it up and it took 4 gallons which left .13 in the tank. the most i ever got on my 06' 800 was 16 mpg which would have been 64 miles. when i had .13 left i had gone 56 miles.

it was a guestimet, I rode till it flashed and about 1-1/2 miles after the flashing started and the next day at the filling station it took 3.76 gal, i filled it my self to the brim.

The trail we where on was rated "difficult" and I was in low range and never exceded 10MPH. so it was over a hour of rideing back to the OHV area. on the flashing fuel level.

Its also ashame that polaris reduced their gas tank capacities when they introduced the 800 from 5 to only 4 gallons. What were they thinkin'???????

Polaris does some stupid changes, and tank size is one of them for sure.

A 2001 SP500 has a 5.25 gal tank.
A 2004 SP500 has a 4.75 gal tank.
A 2006 SP500 H.O has a 4.25 gal tank.
A 2006 SP500 EFI has a 4.13 gal tank.

See the trend?

Now a gas Guzzling 800 twin has a smaller 4.13 tank than a 400 Sportsman had at one time!

Arctic Cat offers big 6 gallon even on there 400 Utilities now.
