Default Stock vs aftermarket rim offset w/new tires?

Does anyone know if an aftermarket rim compensates for the offset, making room for those anoying, in the way, tie rod ends, upon buying new tires. I think we all know that the stock tires on a Sportsman is usually a 25" or 26" 8" wide tire. And then when you want to go to a new tire, they are usually a 9" tire, which then forces you to buy wheel spacers. I just bought 12" Motorsport Alloy M4's, and want to put on 27" Swamplites for my 2007 Sportsman 800, and I was hoping that could avoid buying wheel spacers as well. I thought throwing this out there, someone by now has had experience with this issue. Maybe not specifically with Motorsport Alloy rims, but with ITP's. Any response would be great! Tx!

yes, most all aftermarket wheels give you at least a +1" offset (to clear tie rod ends) and a wider stance.
they offer a 12x8 (4+4) for the rears but i would stick to the 12X7 (4+3) like in front unless you want a 52" wide rear.

Tx for the feedback! I am hoping that I will not need wheel spacers.

I have aftermarket rims (itp) on my 07 800. The offset does compensate for the wider tires up front, so no need for spacers. You should not need spacers unless you go really wide up front or use stock rims.

If you go with real big or wide tires up front just get two sets of the 12x8 (4+4) rear wheels.
