Default 2006 Trailboss 330 top speed update

I talked to the guy at rcr today and he said that changing my primary and secondary springs would not change my top end speed. He did however tell me that my top speed should be better than the 35mph that i'm getting now. He also said there must be some other problem that needs to be addressed first. He suggested that I replace the drive belt. So I guess i'll be replacing the belt to see if this helps.

If belt deflection more than 1 1/2"between clutches, belt stretched,If familiar with rear clutch has 3 shims to adjust for SOME slack,if havent worked on rear clutch before,DONT,can of worms if not familiar with it,JUST replace belt, top speed should be 40-45 on AVERAGE! Hold outer sheath of rear clutch while turning slightly on inner sheath, should snap back,if grinding felt could be worn ramp buttons also. Replace ramp buttons or take clutch to dealer,I do this for customers all the time! Good luck.
