There is a unit for sale in my area that states that "all is good except the 4X4 on demand switch. Unit runs very well in 2 wheel drive".
I have a couple of questions?
1) Is there a way to by-pass the "on demand switch" to ensure the 4X4 works
2) how hard would it be to change the "on demad switch"

I am assuming if the switch for 4x4 is electrical there must be a solinoid or coil to ingage the tront wheel drive?

The unit is listed for 1200$ in Ontario

sound slike alot for a 1991 anything,...

I just got a 900$ AWESOME SHAPE 1999 honda 300ex, and my friend, the bastard, got a 2001 for 800!

but to answer your question, check ebay, maybe its just the switch,
that would be best case, or just a broken wire, check it all out.

if its not the switch, you may have to start replacing FWD parts like the hubs (which can probably be found for cheap on ebay or similar site)

Hey guys, bikes like that are next to impossible to get up here (Ontario, Canada). general speaking a 8or 9 hundred dollar ATV will need lots of work.
