Default Traded 07 500 for a 08 800

Its a wierd story....

I had a guy that has a 2001 DU 500 HO offer me 300 bucks for my PXT tires off of my 07 500. This was back in January, so after a lot of thinking and the picture you see below, I wanted to take him up on that offer.

Now, I understand in that particular situation I would have gotten stuck no matter what my wheeler had for shoes, but it was just my excuse to the wife so I could get some fancy mudders.

There was a guy with a King Quad that has Innova Mud Gear tires, that I thought were really cool, there was a matching King Quad there with 589's and those Mud Gear tires went through holes that the 589's got stuck in. So I wanted a set, $360 shipped from nebraskatire.com

He has 26's, but I wanted 27's, cuz I'm a idiot. And as soon as I mounted those 27-10's and 12's on there it turned from a somewhat peppy maching to a slug.

So I decided that I wanted a 800. Unfortunatily I had to let those tires go with the machine, but I was only out 60 bucks after I sold my old ones so it wasn't a big deal.

So I called the Polaris dealer here and asked what my machine was worth on trade on a new one, and he asked the mileage, it had 160 miles on it, he said he would give me 5200 for it. I was in shock because I paid 5300 for it new with a winch and a glacier plow. And he said he would put a winch and plow mount on it because the one I was trading it had that stuff.

So I drove there at like a bajillion miles an hour before he forgot about the deal or had a heart attack or stroke or whatever....

So I got a new 800 Sunset Red in trade for my 07 500 efi plus 2k out the door....

I know its a crappy picture, sorry. And yes, I took all my accessories off my 500 to put on this one, I just haven't done it yet.

Thats exactly what I'm wanting to do. I'm currently trying to talk the wife into taking over my Stealth and trading in the Scrambler and maybe the Preddy too so I can get an 800. I love the 500 but I just want that lil more mud slinging power, plus we'll still have the Stealth anyway. I'll have mine paid off in Dec. so I'm waiting til then and hopefully I'll find a leftover or even get an 09'

Never put more than 10 miles on them, but I can tell you that 10 inch wide in the front is too wide.

Yeah, 8 inch is pretty good, 9 inch might be the best.
