Default Need fuse Location

Need to find fuses/fusible links on my 1988 250 4x4 Trail Boss. It runs starts, charges, but no tail light, no neutral light, and no head light. Can anyone help me out with the locations for the above mentioned fuses, or a wiring diagram for this wheeler?

Thanks

Michael

I would try to contact my local dealer, as I'm sure they would be able to either tell you where it is or perhaps order a repair manual. Good luck.

Does elec. start still work or is it dead along with everything else? If memory serves me right, I think there is only one fusible link in rubber block near batt--off of pos. side of batt, the rest are fuses.

it maybe the lighting coil is is junk in the stator assemlby. have you made sure the bike is puting out voltage(13.5 when revered +-). if i had to guess, it wouldnt be a fuse of any kind as i dont see a link listed in the parts break down. imo.

Reason why I asked if the elec. start still worked is because a lot of times when all electrical stuff dies but if kick started it runs fine & all lights still wont work when running, its time to check out ignition(key) switch.

Ok, here is the Low down. Electric start works, reverse light works. I lost the old battery out the tail end Sat. night. Got new battery, hooked it up, starts, runs etc. Rear taillight worked, and so did neutral light, now neither works, including the headlight. Are the 2 black boxes u nder the cowling, right beneath the steering the fuses? I could not find any others. Thanks...

On my old trail boss there was a fusible link not a fuse, it came off of positive side of batt. cable & was located right along side of the batt. in a rubber block, but if your elec. start is still working and it is just lights that don't work you should break out the test light and see if you have juice at your plug ends, if not then start right at batt. and follow the wires checking every few inches till you lose the juice and find the problem.
