I thought Polaris had their own engine factory? Or is that just for the sleds?

 

American made 600-850 twins. Subaru singles in 325-550s. Maybe other engines too that I don't know of. Probably Taiwanese or Chinese engines in the 50s and 90s. I think the whole quads are made there.

 

That factory should be for sleds thoe I do belive even some of the Fuji engines ARE IN them (sleds) too.

 

You might be a Polaris rider if... your American-made ATV has a Japanese engine.

 

If you normally ride a Honda, and are riding a friend's angry, rather muscular, tatood, take his teeth out and beat your a$$ father's ride on flat ground and ruin all 3 chains at the same time, you might be riding a Polaris. If you take stripping 3 chains at once on flat ground as a sign to never get on one of these things again, you might be riding a Polaris.

 

If you have 3 chains and 6 sprockets you may be riding an antique Polaris.

It's true. My brother had one of those before I bought my first ATV. I've only seen a few others in the last decade or so.

 

Had a chain on my Xplorer. Never had any problems with it. You know you're a Polaris rider when you take grief from everybody else about how unreliable your PoPo is but they ask you if they can ride it. They then turn around and buy one.
