You might be a polaris scrambler 400 rider if your machine has no lowrange,hitch or any sign that tells you that you can tow with it,put a rope on it and pull a 650 pound tractor out with no problem.Not bad for a 378cc two stroke.

As far as I know my brother's 3-chain 6-sprocket Sportsman 400 still works. His experience with it was what led me to the Sportsman 500 in '97 and I still ride a 500. I had a 500 without EBS, then I got EBS on it, then I got an H.O., then an EFI, then an EFI with ADC. They just keep getting better.
You might be a Polaris rider if... you know that a 2009 Sportsman 500 H.O. is the same price a Sportsman 500 was in 1996.
And you think most other quads are way over-priced.

You might be a Polaris rider if your quad breaks through the ice on the big waterholes while the other guys lighter quads just make it over. In my case it may have something to do with the rider... It still clawed its way back out of the holes though.
