I changed the front hub fluids today... when the wheels were rotated to 6 o
clock, only about a teaspoon to a tablespoon of black fluid came out. This seemed low, and was true with both front wheels. I'm not entirely sure of the maintenance history of this unit... where would the fluid go?? I rotated to the 2 o'clock position and filled her up. But I am puzzled where the fluid would have went?

Also, I changed the front gearcase fluid as well. The color was like chocolate milk. Would this imply there was water introduced, or could this be the color of the fluid that was put in in 2002?

could have been low in the first place and i dont think it takes much for the hubs. i would agree you had water in the front end as thats not the color it shold be.
