This is a quote from Ride Powersports website in Ohio,

"PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE CLOSED FROM TUESDAY, JULY 22 THROUGH FRIDAY, JULY 25TH. WE WILL REOPEN ON SATURDAY, JULY 26 AT 9 AM. WE WILL BE ATTENDING THE VICTORY AND POLARIS NATIONAL DEALER MEETINGS, AND WILL BRING BACK AS MUCH INFORMATION AS WE CAN ABOUT 2009 VEHICLES AND ACCESSORIES! WE APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE IF THIS CAUSES YOU ANY INCONVENIENCE."

So, it sounds like we may hear something about when they will have them tomorrow. Other dealers I called also said that their managers are in Las Vegas and won't be back until Monday, I guess that is where the big meeting is.

I got to test the 850 several months ago for a research company. Now that it is released, I guess I can talk about it. The 850 feels like a completely different machine. I thought at first that it had power steering, but that was not the case. Much better handling and ergonomics. No vibration or the buzz like the 800 has. The exhaust kinda sounds like a V-twin. It's also a lot nicer looking machine that seems much more refined than the 800.

I think the seat height being 3 inches higher will be an issue. That raises the center of gravity by 3 inches.

What is the downside to picking up a bike in the US. I see the 850XP with EPS is $9599. I'll bet my left nut that that bike here in good ol' expensive Canada will be over $13,000!

Same as the Razr- its $2700 more in Canada. I think I will be picking my next bike up south of the boarder!</end quote></div>

Sucks that the price has increased in Canada!!! Everyone was expecting a decrease.

Hopefully they come out with a new and improved scrambler to push the limits of the Renegade

There were several things that were done to improve the CG. wider hub placement, fuel tank under the front rack, 3" longer wheelbase. The motor is turned inline with the chassis and sets lower in the machine as a result. I think the CG might be a net impovmnet over the old sportsman even if the seat is higher.
