There wouldn't be a half dozen companies specializing in Polaris clutch mods if there wasn't a Polaris clutch. You can get new springs and weights, and even different helixes. Several people on theis forum have aftermarket clutch springs.
You don't have to manually manipulate the clutch when you ride because it all happens automatically. But there's still a clutch at the heart of the transmission. That's one of those basic things that I used to think everyone knew.
