Default Gear indicator light problems

Has anyone had trouble with their gear indicator operating correctly on the lcd screen? My wifes was messing up some over the past weekend and I couldn't figure it out. Sometimes it would work fine, sometimes it would lag real bad or give a false reading and other times it wouldn't work at all. I unplugged the harness at the sensor and it was dry with no corrosion. I also wiggled things around but nothing seems to make a difference. Right now it's working properly again but as I said it comes and goes. I hate problems like this as they're hard to locate! This quad only has 11 hrs on the clock and has had a really easy life so far, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. The ecm fell off and was swinging by it's wires and now this, I know things break but man it's only been ridden a few times!

Make sure e-ring on shaft in front of sensor and sensor tab locked into case to keep from moving if you have this type sensor. If yours is the type mounted on trans with screws, internal levers are plastic and could be sticking. Any case if you have only 11 hrs and still under warranty, have checked out. Good luck

Thanks OPT, I guess I'll take it to the dealer. I thought maybe it was common and there was some sort of little trick to fixing it.
