Is the new 550 a single or a twim?
I looked at the polaris website and it reads:
"Most Powerful 500-class engine in Sportsman history. 550 CC Single, rubber mounted..."
I got this email from Polaris today that reads:
"an all-new 550 SOHC Twin EFI engine is also available"
Does anyone have first hand knowledge of whether or not the new 550 is a single or twin cylinder?

If it's the same thing I'm looking at, they changed the pic so it doesn't show the twin. When nobody made anything bigger than a 500 I wondered why it wasn't a twin. If it was a 2-smoke I bet it would be a twin or triple. That would kick @$$. According to my calculations a 550 2-stroke would be somewhere between the 700 and 800 in horsepower, closer to the 800 but much quicker, and that's if it was only a single.
I got that email too that says, "An all-new 550 SOHC Twin EFI engine is also available."
