The issue I have is that stuff that sticks up that high gets caught on trees. I ride in North Georgia and have lost a few tall hard plastic toolboxes on the back of my Yam Kodiak 450 to trees that lean into where I am turning. My new 2008 800 X2 LE sits even higher, and I would want a rack that is 6" narrower at the top than the bottom mounting width. Then I would stand a chance against the trees. Hitting this rack on a tree might could do major damage to the bed it is mounted on...
