Default sportsman "magnetic coil" on strut question

I have a 1996 sportsman and the wires were severed flush with the strut. How does the magnetic coil come off without damaging everything? Any steps or tips you guys have? Same with the inner hub seal, I can't seem to get that one off either

Thanks,
Travis

There is a coil sleeve that must be tapped off to get to coil assy, must carefully tap at back of sleeve all around to remove without damaging coil, sometimes hard to do. If replacing coil dont worry about damage,ALWAYS use new sleeve, must use silicone(factory use blue, doesnt matter) to seal around strut castiing and I always use a block of wood to tap on new sleeve, clearance between sleeve face and inner strut face(where coil is)must be even all around, with about .001-.0015 clearance ( use straight edge to set gap) DONT tap sleeve in too far before checking clearance! HUB seal can be knocked out ,but MUST be pressed back in(easy with a press) Inner strut seal just pry out, use large socket to set back in.(Remember how deep original seal was, mark around old seal if necessary) if set too deep will leak because not sealing around cv sleeve. A manual is recommended, because all these are critical for awd to work properly! Good luck
