Polaris called the other day and asked me if I wanted the 4.5 year extended warrenty. It cost $1200.00 for both of my machines. SC500 4x4 & 325 Trailboss. Has anyone used this warrenty? Does it cover what they say or do they ask like the car dealers and try to get out of everything? Is it really worth the extra money? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I also have a post here, Warranty. I was notified by mail from Polaristar that I could have a 2 – 5 year extended warranty. My cost for my 5-year warranty was $565, 2001 Sportsman HO. This information was mailed to me when the ATV was 3 months old. I got a similar deal when I bought my Scrambler last year. I did not take the warranty on my 400 4x4 but I am on the Sportsman.

Also and the most important part I have to mention is I called the dealer that I bought it from and they gave me the warranty through them and I saved another 10%.

Ask your dealer to explain what is “not” covered.

Hope this helps,

Mark
