Default Scrambler 500 help please

I had an 02 500 4x4 with an FMF Megamax exhaust, k&n filter, ITP wheels and ITP mudlights, and a hotseat clutch kit init. I would have to drag race in 4x4 to keep the front end on the ground. I wil run with much bigger machines, esepially in the woods. Im no small guy 300+ and i was amazed how all the years i road it that i could not kill it. The first year i owned it it was upside down more than on its wheels. I loved this quad but hear are a few of the problems they have. if looking at a used one. Check the ball joints, tierods, swing arm busshings, front and rear sprocket. rear break pads, and the rear axle bushings. Also check the handle bar mounting plate on top of the stearing stem for cracks where they are welded together. I tried doing a ***** won day and riped the bars clean off the shaft. From all the rollovers it had weekend.

So if you added a pipe, bigger carb, removed the stock airbox and ran the filter off the carb, and added a roller clucth, the 500 would accelerate like a SPORT QUAD?

To a point. But if you run a open airbox you need the HPD jet kit to compensate for the engine vacum. And you dont need a bigger carb

Lol, yeah yeah, bad ownership of a franchise kills fanbase and loyalty. Good things to come in the future for team and city lets hope.

So where do you ride around here, anywhere besides the Mounds?????

the TMX flatslide kit is available from AAEN performance its good for about 3 hp, only helps if you change your cam and pipe, so in total you could be looking up to 10 extra hp, that will put your power where the new 450's are at. Are you looking for a 2x4 or 4x4, I have a 2x4 with the above kit, i'm over 300 lbs and still pull wheelies coming out of corners in the twisties. to make the 2x4 wicked off of the line, use a 40 tooth rear sprocket and 12 tooth front, i smoke EVERYBODY off the line, clutching still use stock spring and polaris G weights, can flip it right over from a stand still.
